Page Selection
After the admin has created the templates for the agents, the agent can then take advantage of the Page Wizard, which is under the Content Drop down in their agent site admin. When they navigate to the Page Wizard, they are brought to the page selection screen and met with a display showing all of the pages for which the admin has built templates, with prompts for the agent to “Create This Page.”
The agent can click, “Create This Page” to be taken into the wizard to view the templates available for their selected page type or they can click, “Start Page Wizard” and be given the option of choosing templates for all page types.
Choosing a Template
When the agent decides which page type they want to work on, they are presented with a visual mock up of what each template option would look like.
Note: The system chooses the first photo option that the admin has put in for each element as a placeholder.
The agent simply clicks on the template they want to use. When they do so, they are taken into the Wizard template editor, where they can interact with the options for each element that the admin has made available to them.
Populating a Template
The Wizard creates a step by step process with each element counting as a step. The more elements on a page, the more steps are involved. Each step has an agent configuration array that pulls all of the options that the admin has entered for that element. The agent is asked to input the title and content that they want for the element. If there are images/Videos associated with the element, they will be asked to select which option they would like. Finally they are given the link options that the admin has defined for that element.
In the example above, we are populating a single callout element that has t, images and link options. When the agent makes selections or enters text, the layout on the template canvas updates automatically to reflect the changes.
At any point in the process, the agent can save the template they are working on by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking “Save and Preview.” They can then return to the Wizard later to complete work on the template.
When the agent has fully filled out the contents of the template, the Agent Array will notify them.
The agent simply clicks, “Save and Preview,” and is taken to a preview page showing them the finished template with all of their choices.
At the bottom of the preview they have three actions that they can take:
-
Publish: Clicking this makes the template live on the agent’s agent site and take the agent back to the page selection screen showing their published template logged under the appropriate page section.
-
From this screen they can take the following actions on the page;
Return to the editor
Delete the page
Re-publish
Enter the Advanced Editor (this takes them to the full CMS editor)
View History (this allows an agent to revert to an older version if they publish a page in error)
-
Edit - This returns them to the wizard to make edits to their previous choices
Keep as Draft - This keeps the saved template as a draft but not publish it on the front end of the site.
Managing Multiple Pages and Drafts
As an agent works through the page options and templates they can create multiple drafts of for the same page and keep them in the background without publishing. If the admin releases a new template, the agent can begin working on it while keeping the older template live until they are ready to make the switch.
