Enabling Google Analytics Tracking for Your Site [Website Builder] Follow
To enable tracking from Google Analytics on the activities of your site, enter the Google Analytics tracking code into the back end of your Settings tab.
Go to Settings > Configurations > Marketing > Analytics Settings
To find the tracking code in Google Analytics, go to the Admin dashboard. Under the "Property" column, select "Tracking Info" and then "Tracking Code"
Creating a New View
We recommend setting up a new view in Google Analytics with several filters.
Again, in Google Analytics, go to the Admin dashboard. Under the "View" column (far right), click "Create View"
Filters
Exclude Office IP Address
- Select "Filters" under the "View" column
- Click "Add Filter" and name it Exclude Office IP Address(es)
- Select Predefined filter type
- Identify filters: Exclude / traffic from IP Address / that are equal to
- Enter your office IP address.
- Click save
- Repeat the steps above for each unique office IP address
Exclude Admin View
- Select "Filters" under the "View" column
- Click "Add Filter" and name it Exclude Admin Pages
- Select Predefined filter type
- Identify filters: Exclude / traffic to subdirectories / that contain
- Enter /admin in the subdirectory field
- Click save
Adding Website Goals
- While logged into your Google Analytics account, open this link in a new window. This link will provide a template for the 11 standard conversion opportunities on your Propertybase website.
- Select the "Account" and "View" that you created in the steps above that you'd like to add the goals. We recommend assigning "New Lead Generated" to Goal 1, but all others can get a randomly assigned goal number.
- The template should have created 10 goals, but one more will need to be manually added to your account.
- Click 'New Goal"
- Under Goal Setup, select "Custom"
- Under Goal Description:
- Name: "Telephone Link - Click"
- Type: Event
- Under Goal Details:
- Category: Telephone Link
- Action: Click
- Label: leave blank
- Value: leave blank
- Click Save
