Designing Your Blog Homepage [Website Builder] Follow
What is a Blog Homepage?
Blogs are a great way to engage users on your site by publishing content that is meaningful to your customers, such as information about the local area, the real estate process in general, listings you are marketing or promoting important updates about your company. The Blog Index Page, otherwise known as a Blog Homepage, is the best place for users to start on your blog. You can display recent posts and organize the content you publish in a way that fits your design and promotes the articles you want to emphasize.
How can I design my Blog Index Page?
In Website Builder > Page Designer > Blog Index, admins can configure the blog index page template.
To configure the page template, follow the below steps:
- Start by selecting from one of four layouts to determine the index page structure. Choose "Two Across" or "Three Across" to display multiple posts per row, or choose "Full Width Left" or "Full Width Right" to have each blog post take up the width of the screen, with an image aligned either to the left or right of the post description.
- Use the settings checkboxes to determine if you want to highlight a featured blog post, and/or allow readers to filter posts by category and/or author.
- Then, go to Website Builder > Card Options > Blog Cards, and use the settings to determine what information you would like to display on the Blog Cards. The settings set here will affect both the Blog Posts component for Area Profile Pages (in the Website Builder Page Designer) as well as the Blog Posts cards on the Blogs Index page.
